AppNote
A document similar to a white paper, which is instructional or describes a process. AppNotes are distributed via Mentor Graphics SupportNet. AppNotes can contain graphics and hypertext links to other web pages, pdf files, and multimedia files.
DR/ER
A record within the Mentor Graphics defect tracking system that describes a product Defect Report (DR) or Enhancement Request (ER) and tracks the key milestones in the lifecycle of the issue. Service Requests are cross-referenced to related DR/ERs when applicable.
Engineering Notes
Specific notes from Development Engineering to customers affected by the DR/ER.
Last Updated
The date of the most recent change to a DR/ER record.
Planned Release
Version of software that a DR/ER solution is anticipated to be available.
Prior DR/ER #
A record within a retired defect tracking system. This number is available as a historic cross-reference.
Service Request (SR)
A record within the call tracking system corresponding to a customer request for technical support. If a product defect related to the callis identified and confirmed, the SR is cross-referenced to the applicable DR/ER number.
TechNote
A problem/solution document which concerns a specific aspect of MGC applications use. TechNotes are published in the Mentor Graphics SupportPro Newsletter and are also distributed on SupportNet.
